The word soma is the Greek word for body. Somatics is about bringing awareness to our body from an internal perspective. Many of us may be able to describe external attributes of our body, like our hair color. It may be harder for us to make contact to what is happening within our body, like how our emotions feel in our body. The more we are in relation to what is happening within, the more we are empowered to navigate and adapt to it. The more we can be aware of what is present, the more we are able to address it, feel it, process it, release it.

Somatics helps us reconnect to ourselves so we that we can see and honor our needs, clear what no longer serves us, and align our lives with our truth. It can be especially useful for those who feel chronically stressed, overwhelmed, burned out, exhausted, and stuck.
